‹ Release notesUniversal Action Control Display - Unified UI for Action Permissions
Permission-based visibility · Disabled controls with explanations · Cost transparency · Limit enforcement · Internal Services Scaling · Network Architecture Update
Product Features
- Universal Action Control Display - Unified UI for Action Permissions: We’ve unified the display of UI controls for initiating actions based on user permissions and system availability. Key updates include:
- Permission-based visibility: Users without the required project-level or company-level permissions will no longer see the control for actions they cannot perform.
- Disabled controls with explanations: When an action is temporarily unavailable due to factors like compute instance status or service unavailability, users will see the control in a disabled state with a tooltip explaining the reason.
- Cost transparency: For actions that impact the cloud bill, the exact cost or an "up to" maximum will be displayed. If the cost is unknown, no amount will be shown.
- Limit enforcement: Users will be prevented from initiating actions that would exceed project cost or resource limits. Disabled controls will include tooltips explaining the restriction.
This update ensures a clearer, more intuitive action initiation process, preventing unauthorized or invalid actions while providing clear explanations.
Fixes / Internal Improvements
- Internal Services Scaling: Completed scaling internal services for improved system performance and reliability.
- Network Architecture Update: New network architecture beta testing is underway.
